The impact of the software is increasing every day but ESG reports don’t show it.

We use software at any time of day, on any device, even ones we probably don’t know about, like refrigerators, washing machines, or even intercoms. But how much software is really optimized to avoid wasted energy? At the moment there is no certain answer, what we do know is that big companies have consciously decided to ignore the energy impact required by software and therefore decrease transparency in their ESG reports. Why? Simply because they are not yet ready to face the problem, i.e., how to optimize this aspect in their reports.
